The attic started out looking like many old attics do: full of dust, cobwebs, and long ago stored items. Contrast that to the finished space: clean and completely usable. Skylights were installed to let in light as well as the fresh ocean breeze to keep the space cool.

What looks like a hole in the ceiling in the lower photo, is actually the place where a hand-painted glass panel is to be inserted and lit from behind.
