The end of the bathroom was made into a giant (4'x8') walk-in shower, tiled with golden travertine tile on the walls and 2"x2" peackock slate tiles on the shower floor and backsplash. The mirror was left where it was but is now framed with a copper frame made and designed by the owner who also designed and created the many one of a kind glass and copper inset tiles. Also made of copper was the counter - the vessel and vessel filler (faucet and sink) were then set upon a single travertine tile - the original cabinet was reused, but given a new coat of paint and brand new hardware. A stacking brushed steel washer and dryer set (not shown) were given their own space with storage above, and a removable panel near the back to give access to the water controls. Not seen here, some of the barnwood was kept and inegrated into the new design.
